Curved Garden Decking and Fence Installation
The gallery includes the photos of the garden area before the works started, the building process and the final result.
This project was created for the customer who came up with very interesting idea of curved shaped garden decking. I have built the circle shaped deck in the past but I used different technique to achieve the results.
The fence was custom made out of 4×4 fence post that has been set 60cm in the ground and 4×4 treated timber that has been fixed horizontally directly onto the post. The feather edge boards were installed with 3cm overlap in between them to create seamless finish. On the top a matching capping was used to adjoin the existing fence. To finish it off all fence was sanded and oiled twice.
The low-level decking base has been done with 51 concrete footings drilled into the ground and then the frame made of treated 4×2 has been laid on the top of it and fixed on the concrete footing with resin and bolts. This has created the sturdy base for the decking. Also, the slope has been created to avoid standing water. The next step was to fix oversized decking boards to the frame and then together with the customer we agreed the final shape of the deck. After the final cut out front board has been curved to the shape of the deck and screwed down. To give it extra weather protection it has been oiled twice.
